09/30/2004: "There's No Excuse for the Likes of Me"

Listening to: Verve Remixed 2
Current mood: Penitent

From now on you may feel free to refer to me as Matt: Neglector of Blogs. Do you know that some people blog like every day? Sweet Cthulu, where do they find the energy? But seriously, you don't even know how many days I have planned with such earnestness to do a post and then gotten distracted and not gotten around to it. Well, then again, my last post was on the 15th, today is the 30th, so 15. 15 days. Hmm, Barbie is mistaken, math's not that hard. Maybe I shouldn't go around trusting the words of plastic reproductions of vapid, hideously proportioned, fictional supermodels. Go figure. I'm gonna have to talk to Ken about this...

So, I suppose this being the first post in way too long a time, I have to give the obligatory report of how life is going and that sort of thing, on the off chance that any of you (ha, I talk as if I still have readers (ha I talk as if I ever had readers)) are really terribly concerned. Well let's see, things are going... well. They're good. Lynnea and I finally mostly settled into our apartment. We made our yearly trek up to this place called Union Creek and enjoyed the fall foliage last weekend, which is always very fun (Fall is my favorite season). Lynnea started school this week and has been running around doing schooly things. Mostly I've just been hanging around town skateboarding (badly) from Wifi to Wifi, working, and playing Neverwinter Nights at night. Yep, I'm addicted to it again, I decided to play through the first Expansion Pack with a druid. One thing you realize pretty quick in a D&D computer game if you're a druid is that everyone else has cooler spells than you. At the lower levels anyway (although "Infestation of Maggots" both sickens and amuses me). So bascially I'm doing absolutely nothing that would even begin to prevent me from posting. Heh. Some bloggers would make heartfelt promises to do better at this point. You and I both know that would be pointless.

I have one last thing to say before I go. Tim is really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really weird.
